Terms

The terms, in plain language

These are the terms for using this site and working with 12 Hours Ahead. They're written to be read. Effective July 2, 2026.

What we do

12 Hours Ahead is a travel design practice. We plan trips, arrange bookings, and deliver itineraries. Aaron Taylor is an independent travel advisor with Fora Travel, the host agency through which bookings and supplier relationships run. The travel itself — flights, hotels, tours, transfers — is provided by the airlines, hotels, and operators you book with, and their terms, fare rules, and cancellation policies apply to those bookings alongside these terms.

What you remain responsible for

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend travel insurance for every trip — trip cancellation, medical, and evacuation cover where appropriate. If you choose to travel without it, that choice and its consequences are yours.

How we're paid

Like most travel advisories, we may earn commission from the suppliers you book with; it never raises your price. Any professional fees — for example, award-booking fees — are agreed with you in writing before they apply.

Where our responsibility ends

We act as an advisor and intermediary. We don't operate flights, hotels, or tours, and we aren't liable for supplier failures, schedule changes, delays, weather, or events beyond anyone's control — though when travel goes sideways, helping you recover is exactly the job, and we do it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.

Itinerary access links and sign-in links are personal — don't forward them. Content on this site (writing, photography, design) belongs to 12 Hours Ahead and may not be reused commercially without permission. We may update these terms; the current version, with its effective date, always lives at this address. Questions:hello@12hoursahead.com.
