The Peninsula Hong Kong opened in 1928 and the group has added a hotel only every few years since, which is why there are just twelve. Each one is a serious piece of hotel-keeping: the Rolls-Royce Phantoms at Hong Kong and London, the rooftop at the Peninsula Paris, bathrooms that are still the best in the industry.
The programme has two things almost nobody else offers. The upgrade is guaranteed at booking, room-to-room or suite-to-suite. And PenClub stacks with Peninsula Time, the group's own scheme allowing a confirmed six in the morning check-in and a ten at night check-out. On a long-haul arrival that combination is worth more than the credit.
