Shangri-La Luxury Circle

The only programme here that promises the hotel will not move you when it oversells.

What comes with your stay

  • Top priority on the waitlist when the hotel is sold out.
  • A no walk policy: you will not be relocated when the hotel is oversold.

Where you can stay

41 hotels: Asia 30, Europe 3, Middle East 3, Oceania 3, Africa 1, North America 1.

Shangri-La is an Asian group with thirty of its forty-one participating hotels in Asia, and its service culture is the reason people become loyal to it: warm rather than formal, and unusually consistent across a large estate. The Shangri-La Singapore, the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong and the Shard property in London are the ones most people meet first.

Two benefits here are better than the industry norm and worth reading twice. The upgrade is confirmed at the time of booking rather than gambled on at the desk. And the programme carries a no walk policy: if the hotel is oversold, Luxury Circle guests are not the ones sent across town. Almost nobody else publishes that.

These benefits come from the partner programmes this practice belongs to, and they are added to your reservation when we make the booking. They cost you nothing: the rate you pay is the rate you would find yourself. What varies is the property, because each programme sets its own terms and a few of them set them hotel by hotel.
