Hyatt Privé covers the top of the Hyatt house: Park Hyatt, Andaz, Alila, Thompson, Miraval and the all-inclusive Ziva and Zilara brands. The reason frequent travellers care about this one specifically is that a Privé booking still earns World of Hyatt points and elite night credits exactly as a direct booking does. At most brands the preferred programme and the loyalty programme are a choice. Here they are not.
The upgrade is also confirmed within twenty-four hours of booking rather than gambled on at the desk, which is a materially different promise from the industry's usual subject to availability at check-in.
