Regent's proposition rests on space and on having very little left to pay for once aboard. Every guest has a suite, nearly all with a private balcony, and the ships carry far fewer people than their size would allow. Public rooms are correspondingly generous: wide corridors, quiet lounges, a pool deck with room to spare.
Interiors lean towards the opulent, with marble, crystal and a substantial art collection on the newer ships. There are several restaurants to choose from each evening, open seating in all of them, and a crew large enough to remember names and preferences. Because excursions are part of the fare, days ashore tend to be busy, while sea days are given over to the spa, lectures and long lunches. The line is a sister brand to Oceania Cruises.
