Heritage Line
RiverLuxury
Boutique ships on the Mekong and in the bays of northern Vietnam.
The ships of Heritage Line are designed to recall an earlier age of travel in Indochina. Polished timber, rattan, brass fittings and slow ceiling fans set the tone, with each vessel themed on a chapter of the region's history. They are small, with a few dozen cabins at most, and the service is attentive and personal.
On the lower Mekong, the line sails between Vietnam and Cambodia, linking the delta near Ho Chi Minh City with Phnom Penh and the approach to Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor. In northern Vietnam its boutique vessels cruise Halong Bay and the quieter Lan Ha Bay, among limestone islands, for a night or two. A further ship works the upper Mekong in Laos. Excursions go by sampan and on foot to floating markets, village workshops and riverside pagodas.
