Disney Cruise Lines

Ship at sea

Disney approaches a cruise ship as it approaches a theme park, with close attention to story and detail. The characters are on board, the stage shows are full-scale musical productions, and there are fireworks at sea. Families move between restaurants each night while their serving team moves with them, a system the line has used since its first ship.

Children's clubs are extensive and divided by age, from a nursery to spaces for teenagers, which leaves parents free to use the pools, restaurants and lounges reserved for adults. The ships themselves are handsome, styled after the ocean liners of the early twentieth century. Most sailings go to the Bahamas and the Caribbean and include a day on one of Disney's private island destinations. Summer brings seasons in Alaska and Europe.
